March News

Hello Everyone!
Happy Lent--I hope you are doing WELL!

Revision of Pastoral Plan
I have just finished revising the YA section of the Pastoral Plan with YA leaders in the DSJ. As you know YM and YA strategies and actions were identical when this plan was first promulgated. I worked with YA leaders for their feedback, additions, deletions. The revised YA piece has been approved and is being translated into Spanish and Vietnamese.
Now it is YM's turn. I ask that you review the current YM plan and give me whatever feedback, including additions, deletions, that you would like to see. I ask that you send me your edits by Friday March 21.
If you would like to meet with me to chat about this-that would be fine- just email me.
I hope this way of doing this would be more helpful than scheduling an extra meeting.
Part II--please know that all Young ADult wording will automatically bee deleted from this.
YMC quarterly meeting
Tuesday March 14 is our next quarterly meeting--5 pm in the St Joseph room here--potluck!
In have a lot of info to report and share with you from the NFCYM meeting I attended in Portland in Jan. I hope you will make an effort to attend this meeting--lot of things happening in YM-land.
If you would like something placed on the agenda please let me know by this Friday Mar 10.

YMC retreat
Please send me your reg forms and fee fo the YMC retreat happening on March 17--Friday. Since i have been in this position, many of you have expressed your need and your support for a YMC retreat geared to those who work with young people. I have not had a great response and worry that if this is not well attended, than it will be difficult for me to advoacate for such things in the future. Just something to consider. If there si a problem with not being able to get away from the office or $, please let me know and I can speak to your pastor about that. I hope to see more registrations coming in this week.
